Emmanuel Jacques, the managing partner of Emmanuel Jacques Almosnino, was interviewed by The New York Times for an article on what goes into buying a home in Saint Barts. Mr. Jacques said that, before purchasing a house, buyers should do their research into the real estate market, since there is “a constant evolution” taking place at Saint Barts.
If that buyer doesn’t do their homework, Mr. Jacques said, they may be in for an unpleasant surprise. As an example, “other purchasers were granted the right to build a property just in front of yours”, he said.
